I tell them I built my online business by following three simple steps.
First, I had to have a passion for something I enjoyed doing or talking about. You cannot operate any business, whether it is online or in a retail mall, unless you love what you are doing. If you do not love your business, you are doomed to fail.
Second, because I have no website design experience, nor do I understand HTML, I needed to find a website hosting company that was user friendly.
Third, I needed to “put the blinders on” and forge ahead. I had built successful businesses in the past, so I understood that determination and a willingness to see the end result was an important step to succeeding in any business. This is a good reason why you need to have a passion for your online business.
You can do the same.
If you follow the above three simple steps to having a profitable online business you will succeed. There is no way you can fail.

As I mentioned in the first step, if you have a passion for something, and you can turn that passion into an online business, your chances of succeeding in you’re business will be significantly enhanced.
I used my love for metal detecting and treasure hunting and created a successful online business. Thousands of others, just like me have done the same. They have created successful online businesses by using their passions. And because starting an online business, like any business, takes time and commitment, you need that passion for what you are doing.
The second step I mentioned is to locate a website hosting company that is user friendly. Not all of us understand the intricacies of website design and HTML.
There are many hosting companies that will assist you in building an online business. Some of them are better than others. And remember, they all charge a monthly or a yearly fee for their services.
The prices you can pay for a hosting company can be as little as .00 per month, to as high as hundreds of dollars a month. What you will pay is determined by what kind of online business you want to operate, and how many sales there will be.
Do not let the idea of having to pay a few hundred dollars a year to a hosting company scare you away from having an online business. All businesses cost money to operate, but a few hundred dollars for an online business is not a lot of money. And once you’re business is making money, you will not be concerned with a few hundred dollars a year.

The third step, “put the blinders on” will come easy if you love what you are doing. You’re work will not feel like work, and the small failures you will encounter along the way, will be easier to overcome.
You cannot build a successful online business in a few weeks, or a few months. It takes time and effort regardless of who you’re hosting company is, or what your passion or business is. But if you follow the above three steps, success can be yours.
